ROSE SOCIETY
VIRTUAL ZOOM MEETINGS (Invite on Listserv)

Irwin and Cindy's pruning video is here

(Invite on Listserve or contact Nancy at rirsrose@gmail.com)

Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Since our Virtual Rose Show will be held in July, we will hold a regular Zoom monthly meeting for June.

Please join us for another fun and informative meeting featuring a special presentation by Mike and Angie Chute.

In their PowerPoint program, "Radler Roses: Knock Outs and Beyond", you'll learn about the man behind the Knock Out roses
as well as the many other low maintenance, disease resistant varieties he created.

There will be updates from Rose Show chairs Diane and Chuck Brailsford on our upcoming rose show, "Virtual Enchantment of the Rose";
and you can ask Patsy Cunningham any last-minute questions about your horticultural or arrangement photos before the June 19 photo submission deadline.

If time permits, we will have a Consulting Rosarian Q & A.

Saturday May 8, 2021 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM

Please join us for our May meeting, where we will review classes and requirements for our Virtual Rose Show.

This year, we will be accepting photograph entries through June 19th, submitted to Patsy Cunningham. Learn how to prepare your digital files to put your best foot forward.

We will then dive into companion planting! This year in lieu of Rose Fest, learn about blue flowering plants as we take a look at how to add them to your rose garden: Montine Ross will present Into the Blues, about bulbs, annuals, perennials, shrubs to consider, and Rachelle Desrochers will present I Got The Native Plant Blues, incorporating blue and violet native flowers into your garden. Blue flowers are not as hard to come by as we think! .

Saturday April 10, 2021 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM

Spring forward into an exciting new season that brings forth refreshing changes for the growth of our gardens.

What is the first thing we do in the spring? We prune! To help us achieve the best rose garden ever, our program of experts include: Mike and Angie Chute, who will present PowerPoint presentations on Pruning and Planting Bare Root Roses, Irwin and Cindy Ehrenreich, will show a video to demonstrate correct pruning practices.

Members are invited to send before and after photos of pruning examples from their gardens. Please send your photos to Nancy Gaiewski by April 7.

Discussions about our first Virtual Rose Show will conclude the exciting program
