Congratulations to
the following Rhode Island Rose Society members for receiving awards
at the Yankee District Convention in Cape Cod on March 26th. We are all
proud of the your accomplishments
and hard work you do. We are honored to have you as members of the RIRS.
Patsy Cunningham
received the American Rose Society Outstanding Yankee District Judge
Award. This is one of several American Rose Society awards received
by Patsy in the past several years for her dedicated work for the ARS,
the Yankee District, and The Rhode Island Rose Society.
Craig Dorschel received the American Rose Society Outstanding
Consulting Rosarian Award. Congratulations, Craig.
Greg Davis won the Yankee District Silver Award for
outstanding service to the Yankee District. Congratulations, Greg.
Dave Long
received Master Rosarian Status for years of outstanding
Consulting Rosarian service for the American Rose Society.

Congratulations
to Andy Vanable who received the American Rose Society Bronze Honor
Medal Award
for Outstanding Service to the Rhode Island Rose Society at the Annual
Meeting on March 12th.

Important News from our National CR Chair (Mary Peterson) regarding the submittal of
the annual ‘Roses in Review Reports:
Beginning
in 2011 every CR will be required to submit a Roses in Review
Report when available in September, 2011 online or from the ARS Magazine.
If you do not submit a 2011 report, consider it a warning, and you must
submit a RIR Report in 2012 to remain on the active CR list.
